New 4N Gold PVD treatment

Through a long period of prototyping, we have obtained a PVD treatment to reach the same typical color of 18kt gold, making this variant of Nereid particularly suggestive and precious. We have chosen to use a PVD treatment as it is particularly resistant to shocks and scratches, and it also leaves the satin finishes that characterize the Nereide case perfectly visible and unaltered.

Our Jubilee bracelet

We have reinterpreted one of the most popular bracelets in the world of watchmaking, adapting it perfectly to the shapes and finishes of the case of the Nereide model. Numerous tests have been carried out to obtain an ergonomic and quality product with satin and polished finishes. A perfect fit on the wrist is guaranteed by a butterfly closure which makes the watch practical to use in any situation.

Dial with enamel finish

This Nereid is not only characterized by its particular color but also by many other details. In fact, unlike all the other versions, the iconic dial was made by applying a special enamel finish on its surface. Through this treatment, a perfectly reflective base is obtained, a detail that further embellishes the watch.

A pad that tells a story of heroes

The hull of the Nereide submarine, designed by the well-known engineer De Bernardis, had a shape similar to a torpedo boat. The Nereid was a Nautilus-class submarine that operated during the First World War under the command of the Royal Italian Navy. The vessel was built in the Venice shipyard between 1911 and 1915 and then tragically sunk the same year by the Austro-Hungarian submarine U-5.

BK7 glass bezel insert

BK7 glass exhibits exceptional physical properties: it is lead-free, relatively lighter and of higher quality than other glass crystals. Its properties of low dispersion (with Abbe numbers around 60), low refractive index (≈1.52) and high clarity make it the perfect option for making high-precision glass objects that are very durable over time. For these reasons, after a long research and development process, we decided to produce the new ferrule inserts in this material.

Swiss Super-LumiNova® BGW9Swiss

Super-LumiNova® BGW9 is a luminescent pigment that emits a blue-green glow in low light conditions. For BGW9 paint to fully express its potential, it needs to be charged with sunlight or artificial light. In daylight conditions, the BGW9 paint is white. Compared to the C1 pigment, BGW9 has a relative brightness more than triple, making it the most popular solution in haute horlogerie.
