Steel ferrule with applied inserts
The Arsenale model features a 316L stainless steel bezel with applied inserts. The bezel, in addition to giving personality to the Arsenale, also has a practical function since, by turning it counterclockwise, it allows you to monitor the dive time.
Arsenale is a watch capable of distinguishing itself thanks to many small details that combine with a timeless design: the characteristic tapissierie dial, the logo applied with the Meccaniche Veneziane cross, inserts in 316L satin steel applied on the rotating bezel, indexes with Swiss Superluminova BGW9 Swiss and much more.
Swiss Super-LumiNova® BGW9 is a luminescent pigment, which, in low light conditions, emits a blue-green glow . For BGW9 paint to fully express its potential, it needs to be charged with sunlight or artificial light. In daylight conditions, the BGW9 paint is white in color . Compared to the C1 pigment, BGW9 has a relative brightness more than triple, making it the most popular solution in fine watchmaking.
Entrance to the Venice Arsenal
The Arsenale of Venice is a complex of ancient shipyards and armories grouped in the heart of the Venetian lagoon. The Arsenal is the strongest symbol of naval power that the Navy of the Serenissima Republic had achieved in the second half of the last millennium, becoming known as "one of the first large-scale industrial organizations that history has ever seen".
