Fueled by the philosophy of the time on risk-taking, Joseph Bulova presented one novelty after another. Lastly, the opening of a small shop in the center of New York City that would mark the beginning of his life dedicated to research: to create watches of excellent quality for a dynamic and constantly evolving landscape.

With a strong pursuit of perfection, efficiency and precision, craftsmanship quality became the foundation on which Joseph Bulova built his brand. But what enabled the brand's continued progress was its spirit of invention - in pursuit of innovation and technology in the watch industry - and beyond.

The innovations of the Bulova company have included everything from pioneering standardized production of watches, to the development of the first fully electronic watch based on its own tuning fork technology that currently makes it the most accurate watch in the world. But our discoveries went beyond the simple world of timekeeping.

Our pioneering spirit changed the face of marketing with the very first commercials for American radio and TV. We have made progress in the world of sports with the Phototimer, as well as transforming transportation through collaborations with Lindbergh and over the course of 46 NASA space missions. During the first trip to the moon, a Bulova chronometer was also placed in the Mare Tranquillitatis.

Reiterating its historic commitment to the history of the former, the Precisionist Collection was launched in 2010. Intrinsically stylish and infinitely accurate, with extensive and continuous attention to detail. More recently in 2016, the brand (almost literally) changed the face of the industry with the Curv collection - the world's first curved movement chronograph.

Even today Bulova is driven by the same fundamental principles of craftsmanship, innovation and technology that guided the vision of our founder more than 143 years ago. Just like Joseph Bulova, we have set our standards and created our own rules, going beyond the limits to always offer something extraordinary.
